## How the AI taco counter works

1. Open the app and use the camera to photograph your tacos (or plate).
2. The app sends a compressed image to a secure analysis service.
3. AI returns a taco count (and confidence). You review and submit.
4. The count is added to your total and can affect circles and leaderboards.

The counter is optimized for distinct tacos (street tacos, hard-shell, etc.). Non-taco items (burritos, nachos as a pile, chips alone) are generally not counted as tacos.
